Your First Visit
Your first visit will include a review of your contact information, address, PHN, etc. plus instructions on how to perform the at-home sleep test. You will not be charged as long as the equipment is returned in the same condition as it left our office. You will also be given a comprehensive sleep questionnaire to take home, fill out and return with the equipment. It is important to your treatment that it is filled out completely and with as much information as possible.
Please allow approximately 60 minutes for this appointment. Things you will need at your first visit:
- Your Care Card
- Extended Health Benefits information if you or your spouse has any
After Testing
Once you return the equipment, it will be downloaded and reviewed. Results will be sent for scoring by a Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) and will be interpreted with a diagnosis from a Board Certified Sleep Physician that is licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC before sending it back to the referring physician. We will contact you to make a follow-up appointment to review the results with our Registered Respiratory Therapist. This visit may, or may not, also include setting you up with a CPAP system. Appointment times vary, but we will let you know how long to expect to be here when we contact you.
Follow-Up Care
Follow-up appointments will be made, as needed, based on your treatment plan. Remember, when you are a patient at Vancouver Sleep Solutions, youβre a patient for life!
